On February 16th, 2013 ElephantTribe.org organized a hike on the Matilija Canyon Trail located near Ojai, California. We had a remarkable journey as we hiked 8.4 miles out and back overcoming tough terrain and river crossings. The hike included a very unique vertical rope climb that gave our hikers the opportunity to overcome fear of heights and learn more about how capable we can all be at engaging with life’s many obstacles. The reward at the top of the hike was a brilliant waterfall and the source of the river that we had been following for most of the excursion – reminding of our origin of birth and bodies – namely – water.
