Dream Intuitions

“Our dreams are continually saying things beyond our conscious comprehension. We have intimations and intuitions from unknown sources. Fear, moods, plans, and hopes come to us with no visible causation. These concrete experiences are at the bottom of our feeling that we know ourselves very little; at the bottom, too, of the painful conjecture that we might have surprises in the store for ourselves.”

Psychotherapist and Psychiatrist who founded analytical psychology

Aum

The discovery of the true self is the recovery of union with our own being …. “Aum is the sound value of that union. We remember that the first sound in aum, “a,” is associated with what is called “waking consciousness.” That is the state of most of us throughout our lives. When consciousness is awake, what one sees seems to be separate from oneself — subject and object are separate from each other. On this level, Aristotelian logic prevails: a is not b. “U” is associated with dream consciousness. When you move into the level of of dream consciousness, all the laws of logic change. There, although you think you are seeing something that is not you, it is actually you that you are seeing, because the dream is simply a manifestation of your own will and energy — you created the dream and yet you are surprised by it. So the duality there is illustory. There, subject and object, though apparently separate, are the same.” The final audible sound in aum “m”, brings us to the level of deep, dreamless sleep. This is the realm out of which consciousness then will reappear.

What is Dialectic?

“Thus if we want to explain why human thought tends to try out every conceivable solution for any problem with which it is faced, then we can appeal to a highly general sort of regularity. The method by which a solution is approached is usually the same; it is the method of trial and error. This, fundamentally, is also the method used by living organisms in the process of adaptation. It is clear that the success of this method depends very largely on the number and variety of the trials: the more we try, the more likely it is that one of our attempts will be successful.”

Monarch Program Facility Filming Excursion | June 8th, 2013

Exploring Elephanttribe.org and ElephantTribe Inspirational Films recently embraced the beauty of the Monarch Program facility in Encinitas, CA. We filmed the story of the monarch butterfly and it’s eloquent representation of the cycle of life which is experienced by each of us. anastasiabutterfly[2]From birth to death life takes us through various phases and layers of work and play which are all reflected in the 4 stages of the butterfly life cycle. Through metamorphosis, Greek for transformation, the butterfly transforms from an egg to a caterpillar to a chrysalis (Greek for golden crown). The final stage of the cycle involves the chrysalis bravely shedding its outer layer and revealing all of the beautiful parts within that make up the butterfly. This process reminds us of the internal beauty that resides in all of us. Un-cage your inner-self and unleash the hidden strength and power within you. At last, we watched over one hundred monarch butterflies complete their life cycle by flying freely around the room and sharing the wonder of creation with us.
